Through collaboration and the analysis of financial and market reports, you are tasked with designing and implementing an improved cross-functional strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The success of your strategy will be determined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/support\/article\/kpi-targets-mikesbikes-accounting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"12 Performance Targets (opens in a new tab)\">12 Performance Targets<\/a> which have been set by your Board of Directors. To achieve this you will be making all the key functional decisions involving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Product Marketing<\/li><li>Firm Marketing<\/li><li>Operations Management<\/li><li>Design and Development<\/li><li>Finance<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Getting Started<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the simulation begins you will be emailed your&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/support\/article\/what-are-my-login-details\/\" target=\"_blank\">login details<\/a>&nbsp;by Smartsims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log into the\u00a0<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Smartsims website\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>with the login details emailed to you.<\/li><li>You may need to\u00a0<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/support\/article\/help-with-simulation-registration\/\" target=\"_blank\">register for your simulation<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/support\/article\/logging-into-your-simulation\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Launch your company<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by clicking on the blue launch button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rollovers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsims.com\/support\/article\/how-do-i-rollover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Rollover<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;is the term used to describe moving from one year (decision period) to the next. A Rollover will process your currently entered decisions in the simulation for the year ahead.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Single-Player &amp; Multi-Player<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MikesBikes Advanced has two phases of the simulation. It is important that you know the difference between these phases, and that you are entering your decisions in the correct World.<\/p>\n\n\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--alert  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Help<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tSome courses will not use the simulation as described below, please check your Course Outline for more information    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Single-Player Phase:&nbsp;<\/strong>In the Single-Player you will compete against a single computer-controlled competitor. In the Single-Player you are able to roll forward into the next decision period\/year or roll back as you wish in order to test and change your decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multi-Player Phase:&nbsp;<\/strong>In the Multi-Player you will compete either individually or in teams against multiple computer-controlled competitors.
