Using the Live Forecast in Music2Go Marketing

What is the Live Forecast in Music2Go Marketing?

The Live Forecast feature in the Music2Go Marketing Simulation is located at the top-right of all decision screens. This enables you to easily see the impact of individual decision changes on overall performance.

How Does it Work?

The Live Forecast displays three key metrics; Forecast Contribution, Total Budget and Budget Remaining:

  • Forecast Contribution is your projected Marketing Contribution for the year ahead based on your currently entered decisions. So this will update in real-time as you make changes to your decisions and click “Apply”.
  • Total Budget is your Total Marketing Budget for the year ahead.
  • Remaining Budget is the amount of your Total Marketing Budget which has yet to be allocated/spent. This amount take into consideration your currently entered decisions and will update in real-time as you make changes to your decisions and click “Apply”.

Click on the figures themselves to bring up either the Forecast Marketing Contribution Report or the Forecast Marketing Budget Expenditure Report.

Important Warning

The Live Forecast feature is designed only as an indicator of performance based on your currently entered decisions. It does not foretell your actual results.

The live forecast is based entirely on the decisions you enter. It does not take into consideration future market changes or your competitor decisions. So if based on these variables you end up selling more or less than you expected after the rollover, your actual results will be different than your forecast. So, your live forecast is only as accurate as your decisions.
